When the New Orthodox School was founded in 1896, it became the first formal educational institution during the Ottoman period. Today the New Orthodox School enrolls over 1,200 students, is situated on a 20 acre campus, and contains 6,000 square meters of educational space. The present building was completed in 1996. Many graduates have attended Universities all over the world and have worked in every field imaginable.
